About our Founder
José da Silva is President and CEO of BoltWave. He began his 25- year IT career with Consultronics, designing test equipment for large International Telecommunication firms. His work has seen the creation of Auto-Tims, Auto-Tims II, Auto-Tims III and TX-1, and TX-4. Conceiving products such as these gave him the expertise to rise from his start as a junior mechanical designer to Manager of both Consultronics Drafting and Documentation Departments, and ultimately to his position as IT Manager.
In 1996 he struck out on his own, a one-man IT service with a very big vision, setting in motion the formation of what would eventually become CDC-IT Solutions in 2001. The company provided technology consulting services for numerous clients over a broad range of business sectors, delivering high-level technical support for their IT infrastructures, network set up, and management. Since that time, and under José’s direction, CDC-IT Solutions has grown into BoltWave, now serving satisfied clients in eight countries worldwide.
In addition to his Mechanical Technologist Diploma, he is AutoCAD 3D, ASM International (American Standards Materials), Novell CNA/CNE, Citrix MetaFrame, Linux System Admin, Cisco, and Canadian Privacy Security Certified. His dedication and leadership have been integral in building and maintaining the company's standard of excellence, as well as the ongoing development of BoltWave's cloud collaboration infrastructure. He prides himself in overseeing all new initiatives, with an emphasis on reliability, scalability and efficiency of the company's resources.
